Greyfriars
opened in 2001 and back then we were considered pioneering in
our approach to hydrotherapy and rehabilitation. Now, thanks to
increased medical interest, studies and research, the veterinary
profession is more aware of the benefits of early rehabilitation,
preventative and hydrotherapy professionals.
Greyfriars
provides a range of services including physiotherapy, functional
rehabilitation, hydrotherapy, acupuncture and short or long term
inpatient care for dogs and cats. Our experienced and knowledgeable
team is dedicated to the welfare of animals. We liaise closely
with referring veterinary surgeons and physiotherapists, so that
treatment programs can be tailored to suit each dog or cat’s
specific needs. We understand how stressful and upsetting it can
be to have an injured or disabled animal and do all we can to
support our patients and their owners. Greyfriars is run by Angela
Griffiths, CCRP, PTLLS, RCH assisted by Kirsty Arthur, CCRP, PTLLS,
RCH. Both Angela and Kirsty are Certified Canine Rehabilitation
Practitioners trained at the University of Tennessee. All our
hydrotherapists are Registered Canine Hydrotherapists or completing
training for Registration with the National Association of Registered
Canine Hydrotherapists (NARCH)
Greyfriars
provides training courses and CPD lectures for veterinary and
hydrotherapy professionals not only from the UK and Europe but
as far afield as Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, India, Canada
and the USA.
We
are an Accredited Course Provider for the British Nursing Veterinary
Association (BVNA) and an Approved Training Centre for ABC Awards.
