Alexa joined Greyfriars in 2010 and says the best part of her job is the bond she builds with each of the dogs. She is a Greyfriars course lecturer for the Diploma Behaviour unit.
Alexa has worked with animals in a variety of roles since she left school – as a kennel hand at various kennels, a rehomer and dog assessor for Battersea Dogs Home, a pet care advisor for a pet food company and a receptionist at a referral vets. She has travelled in Asia, Europe and Australasia and has lived and worked in Cameroon and The Democratic Republic of the Congo in Africa at primate sanctuaries.
She now works part time after having her daughter Iria in 2015. In her spare time she enjoys walking her rescue Rottweiler Luna, cooking and listening to music.
